My church does not have a
computer. How can we access the
Network? The
Network is accessed through any computer with an Internet connection.
A survey was conducted during the 2001 Spring Training Institutes and
over 90% of the attendees had Internet access at home, work, school or church.
Identify someone in your church as the designated “contact person”.
They would be responsible for checking the Network and passing along the
information to the church. à
Are there inexpensive
computers available for my church? Flashlyt.com’s
business directory has information on company’s, which provide computer
hardware and software. We also have
names of CME pastor’s and laymen who can provide inexpensive computers to
churches.

How much does a listing
cost? $175.00
per year à
I am a rural church.
We can’t afford to pay the listing fee.
What do we do? Flashlyt.com
has developed a program to assist churches pay their listing fee.
This program is also designed as a fundraiser to help promote your church

How do I submit my church
announcement? Announcements
may be emailed to flashlyt@bellsouth.net

We don’t have businesses
around our church to ask for a business listing. The territory of business advertising varies. Many businesses advertise outside their immediate community.
Don’t limit yourself. If
you approach a business in your community, emphasize that the Network is reaches
across the state of Georgia and nationally.
Look for businesses outside your immediate area.
Ask friends, family or coworkers to assist in identifying business who
would support your efforts. à
What good is the Network for
small churches? We
have heard over the years that rural or small churches don’t feel
“connected” to the rest of the church.
They feel alone; no one knows where they are or what they are doing.
The Network is our way of placing all churches on equal ground and opens
the channel of communication among everyone, regardless of size. à
We don’t have anyone to
teach us about computers? Many
communities have local libraries, community centers and colleges, which offer
reduced or free classes. Flashlyt.com
can assist in identifying teaching resources upon request. à
How can we get a website
developed for our church? www.forministry.com
is offering free 17 page websites for any church.
Information may be obtained through www.c-m-e.org,
www.flashlyt.com, or www.forministry.com.
In addition, many members within our churches are web developers.

How much does a website
cost? Websites
vary in cost, depending on the complexity of the site.
It range is from $0.00 to thousands of dollars.
If your church is new to the Internet, we suggest utilizing the free
websites offered through Forministry.com. à
Does our church need a
website to be on the Network? No. However, you do need an
Internet Access Provider such as Bellsouth, Yahoo, AOL, Juno etc., to access the
Network. If your church already has
a website, we will include a link from your listing to your website. à
Does our listing fee give us
Internet access? Flashlyt.com is not an Internet Access Provider, so the listing fee does
not include Internet access. à
Can Flashlyt.com recommend
Internet access providers? We do maintain a database of CME members and business affiliates who are
affiliated with companies, which provide Internet access.

What does our local church
receive with each paid business listing? Each business listing fee is $460.00 per year.
Any local church, which secures a paid listing fee, will receive 35% of
the listing fee or $161.00 and their annual conference will receive 35% or
$161.00. à
How can we use businesses to
raise money for our youth group? By promoting an online advertising option to businesses, your ministry
will receive $161.00 per advertised listing.
The more listings secured, the more money raised.
The business receives economical advertising and your ministry receives
needed resources. à
Is Flashlyt.com available
for local training on the program? Yes. We are available for
local training upon request.
